While struggling to complete some very simple things at the FedEx store, like having to go outside to get a retrieval code on my phone to complete my printing process in FedEx, I smelled coffee and noticed Sip & Ship two doors down. I was getting lots of bad attitude and no help from the staff at FedEX and feeling very frustrated, I walked next door to see if I could complete the things I needed. After talking with Jordan, the store's Assistant Manager, for just a few minutes, I chose to finish my FedEx business with Sip & Ship. I was able to have my document notarized, another printed and the documents shipped with great ease. Jordan, the Assistant Store Manger was very professional and knew exactly what I needed to do to finish out my day! I even set up a secure place to receive my FedEx packages (FedEx does not offer this service). I highly recommend Sip & Ship because I felt valued as a customer; they have many services readily available; and they actually completed everythin...

After perusing these reviews there seems to be a few themes: sometimes rude staff, markup on USPS cost, and delightful coffee. As a box holder since 2015, I'll tackle the most challenging ones first. Owner and CEO, Diana, runs a tight... um... ship. She lives and breathes the culture of the business, attracting and retaining amazing staff and appropriately removing those that don't fit. If I understand it correctly, it appears that there's not much room for a business to work with the USPS, specifically (wholesale pricing for markup), and the 20-30% markup seems to hit some people hard because Sip & Ship charges for... service? Pretty sure that's how business works. She has better terms with other shippers (even the devil: UPS) so maybe that's an option for some. Then there's the coffee. I go out of my way for the Herkimer coffee and others seem to agree. Also appears that few have a problem with the PRICE of the coffee, and I suspect that the markup on that product far exceeds 3...

I work for a consulting firm in Seattle and every year we send holiday gifts to our clients and collaborators. This is a deceptively complex project with many moving parts culminating in about 150 gift boxes needing to go all over the country and some internationally. However, when it comes to the shipping itself, I can take a breath working with SnS in Ballard. We've worked with them two years and they are a dream for any project manager. I simply send them a spreadsheet with all the info they need, drop off the gifts, and they take it from there. Even when I throw inevitable curveballs, they are friendly and accommodating. Special shout out to Amanda and Jordyn for helping me out in store. The folks at SnS are clear communicators, proactive, and super nice. Also, their covid precautions in store are greatly appreciated. They make a hell of a coffee too!
